World Tai Chi Day One World … One Breath
Here we are again at the end of April, and this coming Saturday will be World Tai Chi Day. We’ll be meeting at 9:45am in Greenfields Park in Wanneroo. To those of you who have a light blue Tai Chi for Health polo shirt, please wear it with a pair of dark pants. If you don’t have that shirt, then any blue shirt would be good. But the main thing is to come along and enjoy the tai chi, so whatever you wear, being there is more important than what you wear.
For over two decades, a quiet subtle phenomenon has grown across the planet. Each year, on the “last Saturday of April,” in 100s of cities in over 80 nations, spanning 6 continents… World Tai Chi & Qigong Day mass teach-ins and exhibitions have been held around the planet all on the same day… creating a worldwide wave of Tai Chi and Qigong.World Tai Chi Day website
This year we’ll again be joining with another local tai chi school to share our different forms of tai chi with each other, and with anyone who’d like to come along.
We’d love you to experience tai chi in an outdoor setting with us. You can join in, or just watch and support us. Get to know us and see how much we enjoy sharing this wonderful, healing, gentle exercise. Please join us and be a part of a wave of tai chi that will travel around the world. You’ll find us at Greenfields Park, cnr Wanneroo Rd and Elliot Drive, Wanneroo
Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis
I recently added to my Tai Chi for Health Certifications by becoming a Certified Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis Instructor. On Monday, 29th April I’ll be starting a new, beginner’s class that’s primarily aimed at seated participants. This class will also be open to people who can stand for the hour, but it is being marketed to those who need to be seated for art, or all of the class. In this class you’ll learn a modified version of the Tai Chi for Arthritis set.
